Leading Transformational Change through Social Policy

In 2020, the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers partnered with the Nova Scotia branch of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives to develop and publish a Social Policy Framework.
We have continued to see our governments, at all levels, implement policies and programs that have resulted in greater inequity. This workshop will introduce the Social Policy Framework as a tool for transformational change and will engage participants in dialogue in order to:
Identify the impact of inequity on our current systems
Examine policy principles in order to develop policies that address the public good
Develop policy ideas that create a vision and pathway for long lasting change.
