Thank you for joining us! Tyler and Bria will kick off our day with a land acknowledgement, a brief orientation, and an introduction to Critical Hope.
The mini-conference will begin with a panel discussion with panelists from each of the different NSCSW member classes. The panelists will speak to the theme of Building Connections & Activating Hope sharing insights, wisdom, and experiences from their lived and professional experiences grounded in Mi’kma’ki.
The lunch time will provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with other social workers around the province in a lightly facilitated lunch connect and chat.
The afternoon will be focused on connecting with other social workers and deepening the conversation initiated by the panel discussion in the morning. The session will wrap up with an overview of resources for Nova Scotian social workers focused on advocacy and supporting systemic change.
Our time together will end with a reflection on how to keep momentum and connection going after today.
We’ll follow up after the conference and send all attendees a feedback survey and some resources related to the conference content.
We hope to also see many of you at our annual general meeting on May 24, and one of our members-only focus groups about professional development on May 26 or 30.
Members who plan to attend the AGM must RSVP via Eventbrite at least one day in advance so that College staff can verify that your professional registration status is in good standing and you are eligible to vote.
